Inspired by the aesthetics of the 1940’s Film Noir Movies, and with over 13 years of professional styling experience. Ruby Mae Collins created Polished Raven; Millinery & Vintage Hats, out of Los Angeles, California.

Ruby’s love of hats started a long time ago, as her Mother & Grandmother collected and wore hats. This inspired Ruby to do the same, as well as learn the trade of hat making, after years of being behind the chair as a hair and makeup stylist. She truly loves working with her hands.

As a stylist, Ruby has worked alongside fashion designers, models, and celebrity clients getting them ready for their close-ups, tours, and stage performances. Ruby truly loves working with her clients to compliment their ever-changing styling needs. She is bringing this knowledge to Polished Raven; Millinery & Vintage Hats.

Ruby enjoys watching film noir movies, attending art exhibits, and being out on the town enjoying live music. She is always gathering inspiration, everywhere she goes. Ruby enjoys dressing to the nines, and is a mistress of mystery in her everyday life. She truly enjoys ” designing the life of a femme fatale.”
